Graphic Arts Associate Manager/Senior Graphic Designer: Supported all graphic and creative needs for the 50th Space Wing (6,000+ customers), as well as supervised 13 employees. Responsibilities included proposal design and layout; presentation design; poster, board, program, and brochure concept and design (including photo and content edit); training program support; unit coin/crest/shield design; and various miscellaneous graphics projects. Participated on high-profile committees to chair visual information support and leave-behind materials for U.S. Senators, Representatives and their staff. Additional responsibilities included vendor networking and assignment, conference room facilitation/equipment support, audio/visual support, and VTC and teleconferencing.

Graphic Designer: Solely responsible for graphic design support of seven departments in the Defense Systems Group. Responsible for the design and development of meeting and conference promotional materials, marketing and advertising projects for internal and external use, posters, trade show displays, presentations, book cover design and layout, brochures, billboards, newspaper and magazine ads, proposal graphics and cover designs, logo design, coordination and review of print production, the development of department standard operating procedures, and the compilation and organization of a graphics library and art resources. Additional responsibilities included quality assurance, and editing and proofreading of technical documents, as necessary.

Graphic Artist: As the sole artist at the corporate office, supported the graphic design needs of 39 cable systems nationwide, four regional marketing offices, and the home office. Tasks included color and black and white newspaper and magazine ads, advo pieces, direct mail and self-mailers, photo direction, posters, yellow pages, t-shirts, billboards, design and layout of an 8-page monthly employee newsletter, and a 4-page monthly customer newsletter, truck signs, channel guides, brochures, bill inserts, coupons, welcome kits, and the development of corporate graphics guidelines, and various branding initiatives.

Production Team Leader: Paginated textbooks, manuals, and text supplements for Delmar Publishers in New York, McGraw-Hill in San Francisco, and John Wiley & Sons in Colorado Springs. Led the design and production of a complete paralegal series for Delmar inclusive of all graphic design, book design review, art file conversion, scanning, proofreading, billing and job coordination. Assisted in the setup of a small computer network and managed office computer software and systems.
Marketing & Advertising Office, Mannheim, Germany (US Civilian) / April 1991-July 1992 and September 1986-August 1988
Illustrator: As the sole artist for all the quality of life programs in the third-largest Army community in Germany, supported 36 activities in all advertising needs. Projects included color and black and white newspaper and magazine ads, posters, t-shirts, signage, brochures, handbills, fliers, coupons, certificates and logos, and the design of booths and props for annual community festivals. Created and designed a 4-page biweekly supplement to the local American newspaper and advertisements for the Stars & Stripes newspaper.
